Collection: Japanese Lacquerware -漆器

This natural wood-ware is decorated and varnished in the Japanese traditional manner; layers of traditional skills turned into beautiful and durable black and red Japanese Lacquerware”漆器”. It might feel daunting to use lacquerware in our everyday lives, because we may not be as familiar with it. However, lacquerware is much more durable than what we might expect.

Artisans "Kinju 錦壽” 's rustic brushed coatings are very unique and gives a more casual feel and appearance; they made this series of works, hoping we use lacquerware more casually in our everyday lives...like the jeans of lacquerware.

This is the first time that Kinju 錦壽's work has been available outside Japan.
